Dr Crokes & St Pats Blennerville represent Kerry at Croke Park for 2025 LGFA Under 10 Go Games Activity Day

Tuesday, June 3, 2025

A total of 64 clubs, representing all 32 counties, were afforded the wonderful opportunity of playing at Croke Park on Bank Holiday Monday, June 2.

Budding young stars from around the country made the trip to the famous venue for our annual U10 Go Games Activity Day.

Croke Park hummed with anticipation, excitement and energy as players had the chance to showcase their skills on the hallowed sod.

All counties were given the opportunity to select two clubs to be involved but they had to show evidence of a county-organised U10 Go Games programme in order for this to happen.

The lucky clubs selected from local draws were treated to a day which provided memories to last a lifetime.

Players, mentors and spectators were treated to some brilliant football, all played in a terrific and sporting spirit.

Go Games promotes full participation and fair play, while catering for the developmental needs of the participants.

All clubs had a panel of 20 players, with everyone having the opportunity to play in four mini-games throughout a morning or afternoon session.

Go Games rules were employed at all times and referees were representatives of the participating clubs, who all completed online training, and they were ably supported by newly-qualified referees from the O’Dwyer’s Club in Balbriggan.

Speaking on behalf of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, President Trina Murray said: “It was truly heartwarming to be present at Croke Park for our U10 Go Games Activity Day. The excitement etched on the faces of the young players as they made their way from the tunnel onto the pitch was a sight to behold.

“I would like to thank the players, mentors, parents, supporters, volunteers, match officials and LGFA staff who all worked so brilliantly together to make this a day to remember.”
